Leashes & Leads provides a state of the art training facility that will meet your needs and those of your beloved animal. We offer puppy, basic obedience, agility, conformation classes and private training sessions.
Our trainers here at Leashes & Leads have experience in many different areas, from dog behavior and agility to conformation and competitive obedience. Our trainers regularly attend seminars to stay updated on new training techniques and to keep their skills in tip top shape. Many of our trainers also compete in different venues and all have earned titles in their venue of interest. In fact, Alice Howe, with her golden retriever Bobbi, was the 1st Minnesota team to achieve both Agility and Obedience Championship titles!

MONDAYS
TRICKS CLASS
Tricks class is a fun and interactive way to build a trusting relationship with your dog. Tricks are a game of patience, waiting for the dog to offer the behavior you're looking for and shaping that behavior. You will learn more about how your dog learns, how to use a clicker properly,what motivates your dog most and many many fun tricks. Trick training builds confidence, independent problem solving skills, body awareness and helps build a wonderful relationship with your companion. Next Session: June 3rd |

Basic Dog Obedience Class - "Where obedient dogs are happy dogs"
Basic Obedience classes are designed to build a close relationship between you and your dog. This class covers basic skills such as sit, down, stay, loose leash walking and coming when called. Behavioral issues are addressed as requested from the class participants. Prepare to have fun, work hard, and learn a lot about your dog, his behavior, and even yourself. NEEDED: a willing handler, a dog, plenty of patience, a sense of humor, an open mind, and WE WILL PROVIDE THE REST. Next Session: May 20th (pm classes) June 3rd at 10:30 am |

Rally Class
Rally is an AKC sport in which the dog and handler complete a course to demonstrate their obedience skills. The dog and handler manuever through a course of designated stations (10 - 20, depending on the level). | Conformation will prepare you & your dog for the show ring. You will work on proper gaiting, stacking and presentation of your dog. CGC PREP SKILLS CLASS
Are you looking to get your dog tested to become a Canine Good Citizen (CGC). Well we have the perfect class for you. This class will cover all the skills needed and help for you and your dog to pass the test. The CGC test is an AKC program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. Next Session: |
